Pamporovo
The climate in winter is moderate/mild with a Mediterranean influence. Typically this region does not suffer from abrupt changes in weather conditions; there is no danger of an avalanche guaranteeing the tranquillity and safety of your vacation. If you are a novice, the ski-school in Pamporovo is one of the best in Europe. Highly qualified instructors, speaking at least two foreign languages, train the beginners, in groups or individually. Specialists can also help become an accomplished snow-boarder. The Pamporovo resort is recommended by the experts as a good place both for beginners and for experienced skiers. The 16 ski runs cover all degrees of difficulty. There are also three cross-country runs. In the 9 ski-wardrobes near the tracks, you can find over 2000 ski outfits and equipment, snow-boards and sleighs. Skiers who bring their own equipment can also use these wardrobes for safe keeping.
The new complex, part of the new 'Grand Pamporovo' project, offers true "ski in, ski out" luxury. The ski runs are just a 10 minute drive away with a complimentary shuttle bus running hourly. The complex has its own restaurant, bar, jacuzzi and sauna and, of course, views over the stunning mountain range and the surrounding woods.
It is stylishly appointed with high quality fittings, tiled bathrooms and comfortable furnishings. The bar/restaurant is open to all residents & is integral to the apartment complex. The sauna is located in the hotel opposite & the Pamporovo 5 star hotel is just a ten minute walk on the way into the town. The nearest airport is Plovdiv.
